Juanita Ella Barr
October 11th, 1956 - March 10th, 2021
“Lord, when thou see that my work is done, let me not linger on with failing powers, among weary hour a workless worker in a world of work, but with a word, just bid me home and I will come, right gladly yea, right gladly will I come.” Sister Juanita Barr, the daughter of Mr. David Jones and Orabell Robinson, was born in Newsport News, Virginia on October 11,1956. She was called by God to come live a Heavenly life on March 10,2021 at 6:40 P.M. Sister Barr was a very genuine spirited person. She was always willing to help in a time of need and most importantly she took care of her Family. While here on Earth, she lived a life full of faith, love, peace and happiness and always seeking God to lead the way. No matter what life bought upon her she always trusted in God to make everything right. She was very humble with her life and appreciated everything God blessed her with. She came to Little Zion Baptist Church accepting Pastor Davis as her shepherd and baptized in Our Lord Jesus Christ on July of 1990. She was in the Pastor's Aid as well as vice-president of the Pastor's Aid. Praise the Lord! She leaves to cherish wonderful memories her husband, Lawrence W. Barr; two daughters, Windy Wyder and Gina Wyder; two granddaughters, Zaire Patterson and Zariah Stevens; one great-grandson, Kanaan Patterson; one sister, Rebecca Jones; two brothers, who are in heaven, Oliver Jones and David Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Greenlawn Memorial Park
Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
