September 15th, 1936 - May 28th, 2022
Graveside services for Janice Pinkerton-Hoyle will be held at 11am Wednesday, June1, 2022 located at Greenlawn Serenity Gardens, North End of Windwan Drive Columbia, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heart of Hospice or The Parkinson Foundation. Mrs. Janice Hoyle aged 85, Loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Saturday, May 28th after a long battle with Parkinson. Her loving husband was by her side the entire time. Born in Kittanning, PA to the late Orval and Virginia Swartzlander. Janice worked as an accountant for several businesses in the Columbia area. She was a member of Taylor Street Baptist Church in Cayce, SC. She loved watching sports, listening to country and bluegrass music (especially listening to her husband play the guitar), bowling, camping, and traveling to the mountains. Janice is survived by her husband Bill, daughter Susan Shepherd (Mark), son James Pinkerton (Diane), grandson Brandon Neill and stepsons Larry Hoyle (Tamara), and Tony Hoyle. Pre-deceased by her husband Robert Pinkerton. It is with heartfelt gratitude that we Thank the staff at Heart of Hospice for their compassionate care. Also, a special Thank you to Mary Rice and Linda Glenn.
