Born in Robinon, KS to Howard Soden and Dorothy Irene Penrod on January 9, 1936. Both parents deceased. Married Jerry Leupp January 5, 1991 in Wichita, KS. Jerry died October 4, 2003. Brothers: Gordon Soden of Boise Idaho; Richard (Dick) Soden of Assaria, KS; Jack Soden of Heavener, OK. Children: Debra Repoff of Aurora, CO; Terry Beem of Denver, CO; Tommy Beem of Tampa, FL; and Dawn Hendrix of Topeka, KS. Grandchildren: Beth Ann Hendrix of Topeka, KS; Sunny Lee Hendrix of Topeka, KS; Jennifer Irene Beem of St. Louis, MO; and John. Great Grandson: Joey of Topeka, KS. She is a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of Aurora, CO and is a a member and held offfice in Unit #1 Leyden-Chiles-Wickersham American Legion Auxiliary and Life-Time member of VFW Auxiliary. Through out her lifetime she taught Sunday School classes for many years and sang in the choir. She was a Girl Scout and served as a Girl Scout Leader for 18 years and was the Neighborhood Chairman and served on the Girl Scout Committee for the Girl Scout Council in El Paso, TX. She taught pre-school and kindergarten in El Paso, TX for 10 years. She worked as a Nurses Aide, Vice Pres. of Hoisington KS, Sales Director for Ramada Hotel in Wichita, KS, Receptionist Cancer Society in Wichita, KS, and Service Director for MS in Wichita, KS. She spent 3 1/2 years in Germany when her husband was in the military. She loved the mountains and Roman ruins there. She also loved her flowers, studying the birds, all of nature and the wild animals, camping and full-time RVing. She and her husband Jerry volunteered as Camp Hosts in the State Parks in Montana and South Dakota; also for Corps of Engineers at San Rayburn Reservoir in East Texas. She really enjoyed people and the areas she lived and visited.
