November 14th, 1964 - December 16th, 2022
William Robert “Bob” Hayes, Jr. of Elgin, SC, went home to be with his Savior on December 16, 2022. Bob is survived by the light of his life, his daughter, Amanda Kaitlyn Hayes, and her mother, Elizabeth “Beth” Sharpe Mauldin, of Seneca, S.C.; his aunt, Dell Roberts of Texarkana, T.X.; aunt, Louise Taylor; cousin, Lori Williams and husband, Frank, of Leland, N.C.; cousin, Deborah Owen and husband, Bob, of Lexington, S.C.; cousin, Patsy Corley of Lexington, S.C.; and cousin, Gwen Herbert and husband, Russell, of Charleston, S.C. He was pre-deceased by his parents, William Robert “Bill” Hayes, Sr. and Annie B. Hayes; a special uncle and aunt, Jimmie and Bernice Antonio; and cousin, Cathy Whitaker. Bob was a 1982 graduate of Lugoff-Elgin High School, where he played the tuba. He was employed by Wilson Chevrolet in Winnsboro. Bob loved the Lord, and attended Graniteville Community Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27th at Thompson Funeral & Cremation, located at 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209, followed by a funeral service celebrating Bob’s life at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Graniteville Community Church, 208 Bettis Academy Rd, Graniteville, SC 29829. Arrangements handled by Thompson Funeral & Cremation.

North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years.
