April 14th, 1941 - August 13th, 2010
Donley Mark Lotvedt (Buzz) 69, of Lakewood, CO, passed away August 13, 2010 after a long battle with brain stem cancer. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lynne, their children Kirsten Rathmann of Broomfield, CO and Mark Lotvedt of Ft. Lupton, CO, grandchildren Kenneth, Kiana, Erik, and Breckyn, his sisters, Joanne Davey of Garden Grove, CA and Ellen St. Croix of Minot, ND, and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Rugby, ND on April 14, 1941 to Delford and Eleanor Lotvedt. He was raised on a grain farm near Minot, ND. He attended Frost Country School #2, Dakota Lutheran High School, and graduated from Minot High School. He attended Bottineau School of Forestry and graduated from North Dakota State University. He worked as an Area Manager for the Bur. of Land Management for 32 years in California, Montana, Idaho, and Colorado. His many interests include history, travel, and barbershop music. He belonged to the Barbershop Harmony Society for over 40 years. He was a charter member of the Missoula, MT chorus and a member of the Sound of the Rockies chorus of Denver. He was a long time member of the Sons of Norway Trollheim Lodge. He loved showing off his home state and brought many friends to visit the family farm. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life on September 12, 2010 at the Sons of Norway Trollheim Lodge, 6610 W. 14th Ave., Lakewood, CO at 3:30 pm. A light meal will be served after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Nature Conservancy or Saron Lutheran Church of Minot, ND. Posted by All Veterans Funeral & Cremation
