Cindy E. Ross
January 2nd, 1956 - April 21st, 2024
Cindy Evon Ross peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024, with her loving family by her side in Lexington, South Carolina. She was born on January 2, 1956, in Conway, South Carolina, to the late Jerry and Rosa (Bryant) Walters. Cindy married her husband Larry Ross after graduating from Lower Richland High School. She then worked as an administrative assistant for Ryder Transportation until starting her own health store business. After growing and eventually selling her business, Cindy became a real estate agent for Russell & Jeffcoat. Cindy was known for her quick witted humor and her open hearted ability to find the positive in the world around her. Her primary hobby was the care and support of animals, including charities such as 4-H, Pets Inc., and the SPCA. She also helped to ensure the continuance of a local goat breeding registry, after falling in love with and creating a home for a small herd of fun loving miniature goats. Her secondary hobby was singing and song writing. Cindy leaves behind a large family, including her daughter, sisters & brothers, nieces & nephews, in-laws, neighbors, and friends. Her kind soul will be deeply missed by all. The family will be hosting a visitation at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park at 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 1:00PM - 2:00PM. A funeral service will follow in the on-site chapel. Memorial tributes may be made to the Alzehimer’s Association of America.

We Entrusted Cindy Ross's Care To
Greenlawn Memorial Park
Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
