Dorothy Kathleen Livingston, 89, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024. Born on June 15, 1934, in Mound, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Robert Smith and Cordie Mae Beard. “Dot” was the ideal wife, mother and grandmother. She adored and lived for her family. She was married to her soulmate, Wilson Z. Livingston, for 70 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lykesland. She was predeceased by her son Terry G. Livingston; her sister Rachael Bell Smith; her brother Glen Smith; her sister-in-law Peggy Smith and her brother-in-law Joe Jankowiak. She is survived by her sons Ronald D. Livingston (Belinda), Stephen Livingston (Tammy); daughter-in-law Karen Livingston; brother Bobby Wayne Smith; sisters Torchie Jean Scales (Jabo), Margie Louise Cook (Paul), Carolyn Lyvone Axton Holly and Rita Patricia Jankowiak; sister-in-law Gertrude Smith; grandchildren Ashley Wood (Jim), Heather Livingston, Jessica Bahr (Alex), Kyle Livingston, Stephen Livingston (Carmen), Jordan Livingston; and great-grandchildren Chase Covan (Makayla), Savannah Wood, and Terrilynn Bahr. Special thanks to Pruitt Hospice Staff, especially Jessica Kennerly and Janice Hicks. A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Lykesland, 2712 Trotter Rd., Hopkins, SC 29061, on May 8, 2024, at 1 PM, with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Columbia, SC. Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
