Meagan Alexis Brown
March 5th, 1982 - February 25th, 2016
Meagan, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2016, she was 33. Meagan was born in Columbia, SC March 5, 1982. The family moved to Ormond Beach, Florida When Meagan was a teenager. She attended Sea Breeze High School in Daytona Beach, Fl. Meagan returned to Columbia where she worked as a billing specialist for Candela Eye Care and Carolina Eye Center in the Columbia area. Meagan was the beloved daughter of the late Robert J. Maloney Jr. and the late Margaret V. (Ginger) Maloney-Craig. She is survived by her daughter, Kaleigh and her brother, Laurence J. Maloney. Also surviving is her stepfather, Curtis Craig, Port Orange, Fl; her paternal grandfather, Robert J. (Charletta) Maloney Sr. of Lexington, SC; her paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Ann Abernathy of Columbia, SC; her maternal grandparents, James A. (Margaret L.) Brown Sr. of Columbia, SC. Survivors also include her uncle, James (Susan) Brown, Jr. of Eastover, SC; her aunts, Jane (Bob Bloomingburg) Brown of Columbia, SC, Patricia (Larry) Newman of Silverstreet, SC, Suzanne (Wade) Bigger-Hodge of Ridgeway, SC and Stephanie Roberts of West Columbia, SC. Meagan was also predeceased by her brother, Robert J. Maloney, III. The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 3 PM until 4 PM. A memorial service will be conducted by her great uncle, the Rev. Will R. Brown in the chapel of the funeral home following the visitation. Memorials may be made to Sister Care, 1820 Morlaine Road, Cayce SC 29033 in Meagan's memory.
