Jerry Wayne Clark, 69, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away February 11, 2016. He was born on November 18, 1946 in Lexington, South Carolina to Carl and Dorothy Clark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Dorothy Clark and two brothers. Mr. Clark retired from the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services where he worked in many different areas ranging from Program Integrity, Fiscal Services, to Medicaid Managed Care. Mr. Clark graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in fine arts. He held several corporate positions in Texas before returning to Lexington to care for his mother and father. Mr. Clark enjoyed art, especially painting and sculpture as an avocation. Friends will be received at Thompson Funeral Home on Augusta Highway, Lexington, on Thursday, March 10 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesberg Road, Columbia on Friday, March 11, at 11:00 am with clergy officiating. Memorials may be made to Carolina Children's Home, PO Box 4465, Columbia, S.C. 29240.
