Funeral services for Carol E. Rauch will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home, 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC with burial to follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Rauch passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2016 after an extended illness. She was born on November 7, 1951 in Columbia to the late William and Sue Wells. She retired after 30 years of service from the State of South Carolina. Carol loved to travel to the beach and the mountains. She loved spending time with family and friends and her dog, Tiki. In addition to her parents, Carol was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Rauch; sister, Wanda Rhodes; and brothers, William Wells, Jr and John E Wells. Carol is survived by step-children, Charlene Cannon (Ray), Wayne Rauch and Edward Rauch (Nora James); and a sister, Brenda Shull. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Anissa Turner, Stephanie Rauch and Christopher Rauch; as well as three great grandchildren, Reaghan, Cayton and Riley; and by many nieces, nephews and friends.
