Greenlawn Memorial Park
Pamela Denise Yandle
December 3rd, 1993 - October 9th, 2015
Pamela Denise Yandle - A Celebration of Life Service for Pamela Denise Yandle, 21, of Gaston, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Pastor Ricky Reed will officiate. Interment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 5:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Born in Columbia, Pamela was a daughter of Timmy and Missy Creech Yandle. Pamela was a precious gift from God who left a lasting impression. From overcoming her heart transplant at 13 months old, to living life to its fullest. Pam did everything with a fearless, sassy and tenacious spirit. Sky-diving was the only item left "to do" on her bucket list. As a child, she enjoyed participating in the Organ Transplant games. Some of her most joyous times were spent with her family and friends on vacations, birthdays and other gatherings. Pam was especially fond of her brother Cecil. Although they squabbled, she was the first person to stand up for him. Pam and her mother had an extraordinary relationship that was more than just mother and daughter; they were best friends. Many people contributed to Pam's life; but, in her eyes, her Grandpa Kenneth stood above all others. Pam was fortunate to find the love of her life in Danny Sandy. After graduating from Swansea High School in 2012, Pam attended Remington College, and she had anticipated graduation next month. Pam substituted age-appropriate partying for NetFlix marathons. With her bold, straight forward personality, if Pam liked or loved you, you knew it. If she did not, you knew that as well. She is survived by her loving parents; paternal grandmother, Sally Yandle of Columbia; Maternal grandparents, Kenneth Creech (Brenda) of Gaston; brother, Cecil Yandle of Gaston; and a large and loving extended family. She was predeceased by her Paternal Grandfather, Ted Yandle, Sr.; Uncle, Ted Yandle, Jr. Although Pam's life was shorter than she would have liked, it was lived to the fullest. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lifepoint of South Carolina, 164 Lott Court, West Columbia, SC 29170. http://lifepoint-sc.org/ The family would like to thank Dr. Henry Wiles, pediatric cardiologist at Medical College of Georgia, and Dr. Arthur Crumbley, transplant specialist at the Medical University of South Carolina, for their extraordinary care over the last 21 years. Special thanks also to the Remington College students and instructors who initiated care for Pam.

We Entrusted Pamela Yandle's Care To
Greenlawn Memorial Park
Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
