Ricky Charles Patterson
March 20th, 1955 - September 24th, 2015
Rick Patterson 60, of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at his residence. Rick was born on March 20, 1955 in Shelby, North Carolina to Phyllis Furr Stone (Gene) of Crossville, Tennessee and the late Roger Glenn Patterson. He was baptized in the Baptist Faith by his Grandfather, W. T. Furr. Rick was retired after forty years in the building industry. Mr. Patterson was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Rick was also an avid Gamecock fan and a graduate of the University of South Carolina. In addition to his mother and step-father, Rick is survived by daughters, Kimberly Patterson of Columbia and Kate Patterson of Asheville, North Carolina; sister, Barbara Turgeon (Bob) of Tennessee; and grandson, Jackson Riddle. Rick is also survived by his 100 year old Grandmother, Rosa Furr of Jonesville, North Carolina; and three nephews of Columbia, Alex, Chris and Brad Flenniken. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to the organization of one's choice.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years.
