Bernice Lee Mathias Price, 80, of West Columbia, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015. She was born on October 12, 1934 in West Columbia to the late Frank Scott and Dosha Crout Mathias. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, officiated by Reverend Eric Friedrichs and Reverend Arden Hallman. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, 3011 Leaphart Road, West Columbia, South Carolina 29169. Mrs. Price is survived by her husband, Reverend Everett R. Price. They would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on August 10, 2015. She is also survived by her daughter, Scottie (David) Marsh and beloved grandson, Jacob Mathias Marsh; sisters-in-law, Dot Mathias and Gloria Mathias of West Columbia, Wilma Austin of Hickory, NC; and brother-in-law, Harold (Jean) Price of Conover, NC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Price was a faithful minister's wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her parents; and brothers, Johnnie, Leon and James Mathias. Special thanks for loving care to Dr. Frederick Smith and doctors and staff of Providence Hospital ICU.
