Barbara Hedwig Navarro, 88, of Columbia, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 16, 2015. She was born on June 3, 1926 in Mönchberg, Germany to Oswald and Emma Wöber. Barbara retired from Square D (Schneider Electric) after more than 15 years of dedicated service. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Barbara is survived by her son, Enrique A. Navarro (Cynthia) of Elgin; granddaughters, Kendria N. Clark (Marty) of Elgin, Andrea N. Robbins (Travis) of Kershaw; grandson, Edwin A. Navarro (Cherrish) of Ontario, California; four great-granddaughters, Allie M. and Madison R. Clark, Lillian K. and Isabelle R. Robbins; and great-grandson Nathan A. Navarro. She is also survived by her extended family in Mönchberg. The family held a private memorial service at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park on May 17, 2015. Barbara will be buried next to her parents in her hometown of Mönchberg.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
