Richard Wayne Wilson, 58, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away April 24, 2015 at Palmetto Health Richland Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on May 23, 1956 in Selma, Alabama to Margaret (Crawford) Wilson and the late William Lewis Wilson. During his service, he was integral in the computer upgrade of both the USS Calhoun and USS Monroe computer systems. He was also a very private man. He was a Christian and lived his life accordingly. Rick enjoyed NASCAR, and liked to watch his favorite drivers Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick. He also really enjoyed a good tuna casserole. Rick had a very eclectic taste in music, enjoying everything from Aerosmith to Celtic Woman. Rick loved his family very much, and getting together during Thanksgiving and Christmas were extremely important. It was always known he took care of his family. This kind man and gentle soul will be missed. Rick is survived by his daughters; Marcia Ann Campbell (Dan) of Ridgeway, SC and Brenda Lee Tenney (Alan) of Las Vegas NV, and former wife, Dollie Lorraine Wilson. We Entrusted Richard Wilson's Care To
Greenlawn Memorial Park
Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
