Services for Frances B. Stanley Corder, 94, of Lexington (formerly of Cayce), SC will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Holland Avenue Baptist Church, 801 12th Street, Cayce, SC conducted by the Rev. Dan Gardner, the Rev. Charles Wilson and Rev. Dow Welsh. Interment will follow the service at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens in Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Active pallbearers will be Eddie Adams, Earl Penn, Gene Rabon, George Richardson, Bill Arnold, and Carl Payne. Honorary pallbearers will be The Winsome Sunday School Class and The Metallic Club of Holland Avenue Baptist Church in Cayce. Mrs. Corder passed away Saturday morning, December 9, 2017. She was born in Conyers, GA and was the daughter of the late Bert D. Stanley and Elsie May Robinson Stanley. Mrs. Corder was a member of Holland Avenue Baptist Church, The Winsome Sunday School Class, and The Metallic Club. She was also a former member of The Jubilent Singers, and for many years a volunteer at God's Helping Hands in Cayce. Surviving are her daughter, Judith "Judy" C. Gardner and son-in-law, Rev. Dan Gardner; granddaughter, Kimberly G. Summers (Matthew); and her precious great-granddaughter, Emily Rose Carvalho; all of Lexington. Also surviving are her step-great-grandsons, Wyatt and Morgan Summers of Lexington and her brother, E. D. "Loney" Stanley of Covington, GA. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Maxcy O. Corder and brothers, Lewis T. "Jake" Stanley and Jack R. Stanley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to God's Helping Hands, 919 Holland Ave, Cayce, SC 29033 or to the charity of one's choice. The family also wishes to express special thanks to the staff of Morningside of Lexington, to Melody Heffline of Palliative Care of SC, and to Tiffany, Chaplain Mike, Nurses Julie and Pat, LaTrell, Elysa, and Diana of Hospice Care of SC for their loving and compassionate care of mama! You were and always will be like family to us…we love you all!!
