Nell Bullock
May 21st, 1933 - January 22nd, 2015
Nell Ruth Floyd Bullock, 81, wife of William P. Bullock, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015. She was born in Aynor, South Carolina on May 21, 1933 to the late Benjamin P. and Sara Pennie Gore Floyd. She was a florist for many years and a member of Brookland United Methodist Church in West Columbia. Surviving in addition to her husband of 65 years are two daughters, Linda Bullock Jenkins (Grigg) and June Bullock; one son, Ben Bullock (Ann); Beloved furry baby and companion "Jake"; a special nephew, Keith Floyd (Naoma); one sister, Mildred Smoak; one brother, Francis Floyd; six grandchildren, Karissa Bullock Cockrell (David), Michelle Bullock Raley, Scott Jenkins, Brian Jenkins (Alyson), Bridget Rich and Patricia Steed (Sean); ten great-grandchildren, Ben Bullock, Penny Neel, Justin, Sarah, and Jessica Cockrell, Hannah Garvin, Gavin Jenkins, Bailey and Cassidy Iverson and Ana Steed. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Entombment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brookland United Methodist Church, 541 Meeting Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. The family would like to thank the staff at Agape Hospice for the care that was given to their loved one Nell Bullock. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
