Heather E. Allen, 49, of Columbia passed away December 1, 2017 in Irmo SC. Heather was born September 23, 1968 to Florence Portley and Stephen Hughes in Whittier CA. Heather is survived by her mother, Florence Portley Wilson of Richmond Hill, GA; daughters, Alecia Havens of Portland OR and Leah Bradley of Camden SC; brother, Stephen (Kathy) Hughes of AZ; sisters, Dawn Stites of FL, Crystal (Tim) Faught of GA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Hughes. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 11, 2017 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A celebration of Heather's life will follow in the chapel at 11:30 with Rev. Terry Cable officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia SC. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
