Edwin "Ed" Civil Scott
February 28th, 1939 - December 22nd, 2014
Eastover - Edwin (Ed) Civil Scott, 75, of Eastover, South Carolina passed away December 22, 2014 at his home. He was born on February 28, 1939 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late John and Elizabeth Scott. Ed worked for over 50 years in the retail hardware business. He was a proud father and grandfather. Ed loved music and unknown to most, was an excellent piano player. He enjoyed all types of gardening and loved animals. Ed's quiet generosity will be missed. Ed is survived by a son; David Edwin Scott (Jenny) of Columbia, SC, a grandson; Glenn David Scott, of Columbia, SC, brothers; Gene Scott, Larry Scott, sisters; Betty Miller, Carrie Culley, Jeanette Scott, Joan Bowers, Judy Abbott, Shirley Paul. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Graveside services will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209 on Friday, January 9, 2014 at 10 AM with Rev. Tony Myers officiating. Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park is assisting the family.
