West Columbia - Johnny Sewood Bowen passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, October 23, 2014 at The chapel at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the funeral home. Johnny Sewood Bowen, born December 3, 1971 in Statesboro, Georgia lived his life in West Columbia, SC. Johnny was a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he received a BA in Accounting. He went on to flourish as an Account Executive at Honeywell and also enjoyed real estate sales. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed the lake and riding his off road vehicles. Johnny was a wonderful, loving father and a loving son and brother to his family. He had many friendships he cherished and was embraced my many. His family and friends will all miss the happiness and love he brought into our lives. Johnny Bowen is survived by his son, Will Bowen; parents, June and Johnny Bowen; sister, Lisa (Tony) Verano and their children Brandon and Landon Verano; brother, Jesse (Aimee) Bowen and their daughters Ava and Sophia Bowen; and his dearly loved one, Melissa Irick
