West Columbia - Graveside service for Christine Mina Davis, 94, of West Columbia, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014 in Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery at 1717 Platt Springs Road in West Columbia. The Reverend David Kiel will officiate. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Mrs. Davis passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014. She was born in Gilbert, SC on October 1, 1919 to the late Sarah Louise Sanders Wessinger and Royal Sheldon Wessinger. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Ira Lamar Davis and son, Larry L. Davis. She is survived by a son, Randall D. Davis (Stephany) of Leesville; grandchildren, Dixie Mabe (Dean) and Kimberly Ritchie (Mickey); great-grandchildren, Madison and Mark Ritchie; and daughter-in-law, Martha Davis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 1717 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29169.
