West Columbia - Funeral Service for John E. Dulinsky, 44, of West Columbia, will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2014 at the Chapel at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Dulinsky passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2014 at Palmetto Health Emergency Room. He was born in Chicago, IL on February 8, 1970 to Ernie and Kathy Redmond Dulinsky. John moved to Columbia in November of 1994 after being discharged from the Army and between the years of 1997 and 2005, he worked for the West Columbia police department reaching the rank of Lieutenant and Commander of their SWAT team. In addition to his parents John is survived by his son, Chad; brother, Jeffery; best friend, Rachel Longo Mares; aunt, Pat Ruiz; cousins, Tracy Ruiz, Brian Fiedler, John Fielder; many nieces and nephews and too many friends to mention.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years.
