Mildred M. Stokes, 92, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away November 14, 2017. She was born on May 3, 1925 in Columbia, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Oliver and Mattie Crawford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Stokes, two sons Bobby and Eddie Stokes. Mildred is survived by, daughters, Mattie Hall, West Columbia and Mildred Jeannie Stukes, Gaston, along with six grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren. Mildred was a longtime member and Sunday School Teacher at Suburban Baptist Church. She loved crafting and working in her yard. She was loved by all. Services will by held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Home, 200 State Street, West Columbia with burial to follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 15th at the funeral Home
