LEXINGTON—Funeral services for Windell McWilliams, 71, of Lexington, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Pastor Mark Bredholt will officiate. Burial will follow at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the funeral home. Mr. McWilliams, beloved husband of Hyon Cha Kim McWilliams, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2014. Born in Stringer, MS, he was a son of the late Walter Truman McWilliams and Susie Bell Wells. He has been an area resident since 1975 and retired from the United State Army. He liked fishing and was an avid University of Alabama football fan. He was a loving father and loved playing with his granddaughters. Surviving in addition to his wife, Hyon Cha Kim McWilliams; sons, David McWilliams (Kathleen) and Daniel McWilliams; 3 granddaughters, Abigail, Lilly and Penelope McWilliams; sister, Joyce Rivera; brother, Kenny McWilliams. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Stanley McWilliams and a sister, Peggy Green.
