Capt. "US Air Force, Ret." Dennis Eric Duke
July 24th, 1955 - December 31st, 2013
A memorial service celebrating the life of Capt. Dennis Eric Duke, (US Air force, Ret.), 58, of Elgin, SC will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Korean Methodist Church of Columbia, 112 Snow Road, Columbia, SC 29223. A private inurnment with full military honors will be held at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at a later date. On-line condolences may be sent to www.thompsonsfuneral.com. Capt. Duke departed this earthly life on Tuesday, December 31, 2013. He was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Herman Howard Duke and Audrey Hart Duke. Capt. Duke retired from the United States Air Force. He was currently employed as the Real Property Officer in the Civil Engineering Division at Shaw Air Force Base. Capt. Duke was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 21 years, Chong Hwa Duke; daughters, Denise Davis (Matthew) and Jennifer Duke; sons, Steven Duke and Bryan Duke; a granddaughter, Maya Davis; four brothers, Gary Duke, Gregory Duke, Derick Duke, and David Duke; a host of other relatives and friends that will miss him dearly. Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 will be assisting the family.
