LEXINGTON—Funeral services for Dorothy Lee Gantt, 83, of Lexington, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Fellowship Baptist Church. Pastor Don Bell will be officiating. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Caring Hearts and Helping Hands from Fellowship Baptist Church and honorary pallbearers will be the Love and Faith Sunday School Class. The family will greet friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073 will be assisting the family. Memorials may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church General Fund, 4238 Augusta Road, Lexington, SC 29073. Mrs. Gantt, beloved wife of the late Charles L. Gantt, Sr., passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2013. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Judson Grant and Gracie Lee Shuler Grant. She was a lifelong area resident, member of Fellowship Baptist Church and the Love and Faith Sunday School Class. Surviving are her daughter, Judith G. Clegg (Rick) of Lexington; son, Charles "Chuck" L. Gantt, Jr., (Mary) of Lexington and Thomas Roston Gantt of Lexington; five grandchildren, Mandi Maner, Buddy Gantt (Celeste), Nicky Gantt, Kathy Jones; seven great-grandchildren, Charlsey, Chandler, Danielle, Kyle, Revee, Zaiah and Colton. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jay Clegg and a brother, Robert Grant. A very special thanks to the staff at Lexington Extended Care for their love, care and support since August.
