WEST COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Dorothy Lee Bouknight Sox, 89, of West Columbia, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2013 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. Pastor Glenn Boland and Pastor Lavaughn Keisler will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be The Friendship Sunday School Class and the Ladies Aid of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church. The family will greet friends one hour prior at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC 29169 will be assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the Ladies Aid and Music and Arts Fund at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, 1000 B Avenue, West Columbia, SC 29169. Mrs. Sox passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013. Born in Lexington County, she was a daughter of the late Lee Henry Bouknight, Sr. and Viola Senn Bouknight. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran for the past 67 years and a member of the Ladies Aid and Friendship Sunday School Class. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Sox Lee (Gary); sons, Kenny Sox and Herbert Allen Sox (Trudy); brother, Perry Bouknight (Trudy); five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Herman William Sox of 54 glorious years.
