LEXINGTON-Funeral service for Charlotte D. Scurry, 66, of Lexington, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Reverend Don Bell will officiate. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Tri-County, 166 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 100, Columbia, SC 29210. Mrs. Scurry died on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. Born in Murray, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Juana Brasher Dodson and the late William Elmo Dodson. She has been a local resident since 1972, following her father's footsteps in banking she worked for First Citizens Bank as Project Manager for 20 plus years. She loved painting and was a member of Palmetto Painters and the Chapter of Society Decorative Painter. Surviving in addition to her mother, Juana Brasher Dodson of Murray, KY; are her loving husband of 18 years, Hugh Scurry of Lexington; sons, Andy Hodge (Janice) and Jason Hodge all of Irmo; three grandchildren, Ryan, Justin and Megan; brothers, Buddy Dodson (Cindy) of San Diego, CA and Jimmy Dodson (Melissa) of Murray, KY; and three nieces, Allyson, Carley and Shelby.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years.
