Najah Wahdan

LEXINGTON—A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Mrs. Wahdan passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013 at her home after a nine year battle with cancer. Born in Ramallah, Jordan, she was a daughter of the late Caleel Awath Taweel and Nazeh Mumhamad Sallam. Mrs. Wahdan lived in Florence for 21 years and in Lexington for the past 9 years. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and a devout Muslim. She was a homemaker and worked in the family business with her husband for over 30 years. Surviving are her daughters, Maysa Parker (Lance) of Effingham, SC, Naimeh "Amy" Wahdan of Lexington and Sana Davis (Alan) of Anderson, SC; son, Eyad "Eddie" Wahdan (Sherri) of Lexington; four grandchildren, Christine and Elizabeth Chavis, Caleb and Ethan Wahdan, also survived by a large and loving extended family. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 32 years, Naji Wahdan. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
