Thomas Franklin Miley
September 20th, 1934 - August 31st, 2013
LEXINGTON-Funeral services for Thomas Franklin Miley, 78, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Springdale Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy McGill officiating. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2013 at Thompson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to Springdale Baptist Church, c/o Send Me Fund, 357 Wattling Road, West Columbia, SC 29170, or to Alzheimer's Association, SC Chapter, 3223 Sunset Blvd, Suite 100, West Columbia, SC 29169. Mr. Miley died Saturday, August 31, 2013 after a long illness. Born in Salisbury, N.C. he was the son of the late Hugh Sheridan Miley and Gretchen Hair Miley. He was a graduate of Eau Claire High School. He was employed with State Machinery for 25 years and Mustard and Coleman Asphalt Contractors. Tommy was an avid NASCAR and Drag Racing fan. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Faust Miley of Lexington; and sister, Greta Miley (Kenneth)Taylor of North Augusta, SC; many nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Hugh Sheridan Miley. The family would like to thank Tri County Hospice, especially Melanie Muir, Johnnie Mae Wells, Debbie Sawyer, Lisa Foster, Mary Peterson, Norris McClain.
