EASTOVER-Marjorie (Simmons) Edwards, 85 of Eastover, entered into rest, Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center. Born October 5, 1927 in Columbia she was a daughter of the late Lewis Randolph and Lorene (Kelly) Simmons. She was a life member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Columbia. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Huey Carlton Edwards; sister, Thelma S. Wallace and a brother, Joseph C. Simmons. She is survived by two children; daughter, Jewell Eileen Prosser; son, Carlton Lewis Edwards, Sr., (Carmelisa); sister, Barbara S. Bussey; three grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 10:00a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4440 Jackson Boulevard, Columbia, SC 29209, with Bishop Jared Jensen and Brother Bryce Hoverman officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Serenity Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., on Wednesday evening at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209.
