LEXINGTON—Funeral services for Laura Catherine Sherpy, 15, of Lexington, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church, 5503 Sunset Blvd., Lexington, SC 29072. Officiating will be Dr. James "Jim" D. Glatz. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Catherine passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013. She was a member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. She attended Lexington High School where she was a member of the Yearbook Staff. Surviving are her mother, Allison Fleming and sister, Caroline Sherpy both of Lexington; father, Todd Sherpy (Trisha) of Peachtree City, GA; aunts, Angie Cauthen (Brian) of Rock Hill, Rhonda Sherpy of Irmo, and Tiffiny Anderson (Scott) of Jacksonville, NC; cousins, Jenna Lloyd (Brandon) of Rock Hill, Jonathan Cauthen of Columbia, Jessica Cauthen of Rock Hill, Chance, Cade and Cam Anderson all of Jacksonville, NC and Caylee Courtwright of Myrtle Beach; grandparents, Ron and Jeanette Sherpy of Lexington and Gary and Charlene Marshall of Marion. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Laura and Archie Fleming. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Palmetto Richland Children's Hospital for their love and support through this difficult time. Memorials may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church or the Ronald McDonald House.
