LEESVILLE—A chapel service for Ret. Air Force TSGT Thomas R. Wright, Sr., 61, of Leesville, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Southland Memorial Gardens Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Edward J. Kelley. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors. The family will greet friends from 12-2:00 p.m. in the Community Room at Southland Memorial Gardens Chapel. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington will be assisting the family. Mr. Wright passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Born in West Columbia, he was the son of the late Freeman A. Wright and Ruby Estelle McKay Wright. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service and received numerous awards and decorations. He loved to be outdoors and messing around in the backyard, he also enjoyed all types of sports. Surviving are his daughter, Heather C. Wright of West Columbia; sons, Joseph A. Wright of Lexington, KY, Paul D. Wright of Goodlettsville, TN and Thomas R. Wright, Jr. (Sandra) of Lexington; two grandchildren, Gabrielle M. Wright and Thomas R. Wright III; one great-granddaughter, Meia Wright of West Columbia; brothers, Richard M. Wright (Marybeth) of Leesville and Freeman A. Wright, Jr. of West Columbia; fiancé, Elizabeth Gunn of Leesville; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families.
