Born in Winnsboro, she was the daughter of the late Leon Lucas and Effie Rish Lucas. She was a member of Jehovah Witness and enjoyed time going in service for Kingdom Hall. She retired from Olympia Mills and K-Mart after many years of service. A simple woman with a huge heart; she was the light of her family. Eddie Mae enjoyed reading and taking special care of those she loved. A special thank you to Richard P. Jackson, a grandson, who loved his "Nanny" and visited her faithfully every week. Surviving are her daughter, Lynn Helbert (Thomas) of Mill Creek, Washington; son, Steven Jackson (Claudia Munoz-Jackson) of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter-in-law, Fran Jackson; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who are located throughout the world; sisters, Nadine Powell of Indiana, Christine Hair of Lexington and Lois Lowman of Gilbert; and a large and loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Earl Jackson, three sisters, Edith, Theresa and Judy, her parents, and former husband, Earl Jackson.

Greenlawn Memorial Park
Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
