Richard Montgomery
July 1st, 1968 - March 25th, 2019
Richard (Rick) A. Montgomery was born in Midland, Texas on July 1, 1968. He entered into eternal life on March 25, 2019. His sudden and unexpected death is being attributed to complications related to his many health issues. Rick was proceeded in death by his father, Richard C. Montgomery, his sister, Mary Margaret Smith, and his great-nephew Dominic M.A. Burry. Rick is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Grace Montgomery, mother, Margaret Anne Montgomery, sisters, Jenny (Allen) Burry and Kathy (Eric) Homan, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and friends. Rick graduated from Lee High School in Midland, Texas and then joined the Navy. He served in the Navy for 5 ½ years as a Corpsman. During this time he was deployed to assist at the end of Operation Desert Storm on the Hospital Ship- USNS Mercy. Over the past 10 years Rick resided in Colorado. Amongst his passions were his love of animals, watch and clock collecting, cinema and literature. Rick never met a stranger; he was kind to everyone and was always willing to lend a hand. He will be remembered and cherished by many. Celebration of Life services to be held at 11:00 am on Thursday April 11th at St. James Presbyterian Church – 3601 West Belleview Avenue, Littleton CO, 80123 – reception to follow at the Church. All are welcome to attend the service with military honors at Ft. Logan Cemetery. The service will start promptly at 1:15 pm. Vehicles are to line up no earlier than 1 pm for Staging area “C”.
