WEST COLUMBIA: A memorial mass for Thomas Leonard Como, 66, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2012, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Agape Hospice Care, 141 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210, or to River Banks Zoo and Botanical Gardens, 500 Wildlife Parkway, Columbia, SC 29210. Mr. Como passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Born in Hackensack, NJ, he was a son of the late Leonard Anthony Como and Mary Dorothy Sheehan Como. He was retired from the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and also from Aqua Seal Roofing of S.C. Mr. Como was a loving husband, father, Pop, and grandpa. Survivors include: his loving wife, Patricia Anne Como of West Columbia; daughter, Christina J. Dragon (Christopher) of Sussex, NJ; son, Dominic Como (Paula) of Chapin, SC; sisters, Mary Conway, Margaret Babcock and Kathleen Yurchak; brother, Patrick Como; and grandchildren, Joshua, Skye, Olivia, Rachel, Danielle, Jonathon, Joseph, Matthew, RaeAnn, and Ava. Mr. Como was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Como.

Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families.
