Larry Gene Bostwick of Thornton, passed away January 17, 2011 at Hospice Care Center, in Louisville, Colorado. He was born in Chattanooga, Oklahoma. He lived in many cities in Texas while growing up, being the child of a Baptist preacher. He was born to Harold and Tillie Bostwick. His mother passed away when he was a young child. Harold married Susie Miller in Texas. The family then consisted of Harold’s two boys, Billy, and Larry, and Susie’s son Gerry Miller. Larry worked at the U.S. Geological Survey at the Federal Center in Lakewood, Co. He worked there for 40 years, and made many friends. Larry loved his Harley motorcycle. Every year he went to the motorcycle rally in Sturgis, South Dakota. He would also take a road trip every year on his Harley. Larry bowled on a bowling league, and made many friends there. Larry was a easy going person who is going to be missed by his family, and many friends. Larry is survived by his son, Chad Bostwick and wife Brandi, grandsons, Liam and Keifer of Fort Knox, Kentucky. Chad is currently serving in the army, in Afghanistan. His daughter, Heidi Croom, husband Denard, and grandson Cash, of Thornton. His mother Susie Bostwick, of Rocky Ford, Colorado, his aunt, Lydia Williams,of San Angelo, Texas, his brother, Gerry Miller and wife Karen of Firestone, Colorado. and numerous cousins, neices and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his mother,Tillie, father, Harold, and a brother Billy. A memorial service has been scheduled for Wednesday, January 26, 2011 ,at Ft. Logan National Cemetary, 3698 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver Colorado. Meet at staging area A, at 1:45pm. We will then be directed to the area for the service.
