LEXINGTON: Funeral service for Thelma Shull Cockrell, 74, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2012, at St. David's Lutheran Church, officiated by Reverend James Laurence. Interment will follow in St. David's Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 - 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to St. David's Lutheran Church, 132 St. David's Church Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. Ms. Cockrell passed away Friday, September 21, 2012, at Lexington Medical Center after a stroke. Born in Lexington, SC, she was a daughter of the late Murray Shull and Vesta Frye Shull. She was a retiree of the R. L. Bryan Co. Ms. Cockrell was a member of St. David Lutheran Church. Surviving are her son, Gordon Patrick Cockrell (Janice) of Lexington; grandchildren, Stephanie and Christian; sister, Patty Moore (Archie) of Cayce and their children, Gregory and Michael Moore.
