COLUMBIA: Funeral service for Warren Lee Wenger, 72, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2012, in the Chapel of Southland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, officiated by Reverend Tommy Pillow. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Mr. Wenger passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012. Born in Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late Andrew Lee Wenger and Marguerite Kordie Wenger. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the DAV and Sons of the American Revolution. Surviving is his loving wife, Karen-Lee Wenger of Columbia; son, Andrew L. Wenger (Jacquelyn) of South Congaree; two grandchildren, Melissa Wenger and Matthew Wenger.
