Nova Glover

GASTON—Funeral service for Nova Lene Glover, 88, Gaston, will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2012 at New Covenant Church, 3220 Platt Springs Road, Springdale, SC. Officiating will be Rev. John T. Lastinger, Jr. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Larry Chavis, Jr. Cody Cook, Thomas Allison, Brian Shelton, David Glover, Scott Boan, Neil Allison and Harold Jay Ballard. Honorary pallbearers will be members of her Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Mrs. Glover, beloved wife of the late Joseph Harold Glover, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012. Born in Lexington County, she was the daughter of the late Elmore Frank Rish and Effie Irene Taylor Rish. She was a member of the New Covenant Church. She retired from Child's Small World Day Care in Pine Ridge, SC. Surviving are her sons, Roy H. Glover (JoAnn), Lanier E. Glover and Dale J. Glover (Velvet); six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Jaylene Whatley Glover, sister, Mertie C. Rish Lewis and brothers, Edison Osborne Rish, D. Norman Rish and Boyd F. Rish.
