Gary L. Olson, 61, of Loveland, CO and Sandstone, MN, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2009 in Denver. He was born February 21, 1948 in Ramsey, MN to Anton Olson and Florence (Ferrell) Olson. Gary was a decorated Vietnam War Veteran who received the Bronze Star Medal, the Silver Star Medal and two Purple Heart Awards while serving in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, card games, traveling, fast cars and spending time with his family. Always a fighter, Gary had battled cancer for nearly four years. He is survived by sons Jeff (Kristine) Olson of Loveland, Jeremy (Nichole) Olson of Berthoud, Anthony Olson of Sandstone, MN, daughters Stephanie Olson and Elsie Olson, also of Sandstone, and grandchildren Cameron Olson, Nichole Hill and Nikkole Davis of Loveland and Sy Olson of Greeley. Words can not describe how Gary influenced so many people or how much he will be missed by his family and friends. He will be forever loved and remembered. Committal Service and Interment will take place at Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO at 2:30p.m. on Monday, June 15th, 2009. Posted by All Veterans Funeral & Cremation
