February 26th, 1927 - June 20th, 2012
CAYCE—Funeral services for Eunice Hook Cromer, of Cayce, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at First Baptist Church of West Columbia. Officiating will be Dr. Bill Drees, Rev. Charlton Bozard and Rev. Phil Bryson. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be the Joy Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made in her honor to Hospice of Laurens County, 1304 Springdale Drive, Clinton, SC 29325 or First Baptist Church of West Columbia, PO Box 4898, West Columbia, SC. Mrs. Cromer, beloved wife of 47 years to the late Carlton R. "Tommy" Cromer, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Born in Lexington County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Rhett Hook and Lillian Corley Hook. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of West Columbia and the Joy Sunday School Class. She was the In-Home Ministries Director for the Church and served on the Bereavement Committee. She also served for many years on the Cayce Beautification Committee. Surviving are her daughter, Laura C. Humphries (Donnie) of Joanna, SC; son, Timothy Cromer of FL; two granddaughters, Taryn Marie Kost (Bryan) of Lexington, SC and Carley Morton (John) of FL and; great-grandchildren; Ireland, Elijah, Elim, Isabella, Anna, Jonas and Jo Jo. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
