WEST COLUMBIA: Funeral services for Robert R. Dull, 81, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be employees of Mid State Tire Distributor, Inc., Chet M. Clark, R. Terry Elrod, Dale A. Owings, W. Gary Peters, Michael D. Roof and Brian T. Scruggs. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Taylor Street Baptist Church, P.O. Box 4602, West Columbia, SC 29171 or to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605. Mr. Dull passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012. Born in Stanton, VA, he was the son of the late Adam Boyd Dull and Mary Elizabeth Ramsey Tinsely. He was retired from Mid State Tire after 19 years of service; and he attended Taylor Street Baptist Church. Mr. Dull was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Survivors are his loving wife, Susan D. Vaigneur Dull of West Columbia; daughters, Linda D. Ralston of Cayce and Diane D. Cordina of Mt. Pleasant; sons, Robert Scott Dull (Bridgett) of Irmo, Eric Wayne Dull (Kadra) of Gaston, Alan James Dull of Columbia; step -sons, J. Randall Vaigneur (Pam) of Tillman and R. Scott Vaigneur of Ridgeland; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Mr. Dull was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Sheets Dull.
