Angela Suzette Cunningham Franklin GASTON—Funeral services for Angela Suzette Cunningham Franklin, 44, of Gaston, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2012 at the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Rev. Michael Sims. Burial will follow in Lybrand Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tony Welch, Charlie Blight, Bobby Berrier, Josh Griffin, Gary Blight and Robert Peagler. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Franklin, beloved wife of Robert Allan Franklin, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2012. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of William F. Cunningham and Katherine "Katy" Welch Hurt. She was a lifetime area resident and a member of Laurel Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to her husband, Robert Franklin of Gaston; father, William "Bill" F. Cunningham of Lexington; mother, Katherine "Katy" Welch Hurt (Dan) of Gilbert; daughter, Amanda Anderson of Leesville; sons, William Allen Murray of Lexington, Franklin Joseph Gallo of Lexington, Cory Franklin of Eastover and Allan Franklin of Gaston; brother, Charles Buckner of Lexington and four beautiful grandchildren.
