A funeral service celebrating the life of Rebecca ?Beck? Alston Anderson, 71, of Columbia will be held at 11:30a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at St. John Baptist Church, Hopkins, SC with Reverend Sammy L. Wade officiating. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 1:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. on Sunday at Greenlawn Funeral Home. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Mrs. Anderson departed this earthly life on Monday, October 31, 2011. She was born in Hopkins, SC to the late Dan Alston and Maggie Barber Alston. Mrs. Anderson was educated in the public schools of Richland County, South Carolina. Rebecca enjoyed helping others and she loved her family. ?Beck? was predeceased by her husband, Jessie Anderson, Sr.; a son, Jessie Anderson, Jr.; three siblings, Mary Lee Anderson, Cephus Alston, and William Alston. Surviving are her loving daughter, Willieann (Melvin) Binyard; loving sons, Danny Anderson and Willie Anderson, Jr.; 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
