Eugene Plume
October 23rd, 1920 - June 4th, 2016
Eugene W. Plume died June 4th, 2016. He was 95 years old. He was born in Jennings Missouri, on October 23rd 1920 to William C. and Caroline Plume. He was the youngest of nine children all of which preceded him in death. He graduated from St. Peters High School in St. Charles Missouri in 1939. He enlisted in the United States Navy in October of 1942 and served his country in World War II until he was honorably discharged in 1945. He retired from a long career at the Air Force Finance Center of Denver, Colorado in 1975. Eugene’s happiest moments were spent hunting fishing and golfing . He hunted up until 94 years of age. He is preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Laura Lee and his middle child William Lee. He is survived by his eldest child Dale Eugene and youngest child Janice Marie Harper. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren and his four great-grandchildren. He was cremated and his burial was held at Fort Logan Cemetery on June 14th, 2016. He was buried with his wife Laura Lee. He was given full military honors.
