Ray McCain
July 25th, 1949 - May 15th, 2011
Rev. Michael Ray McCain LEXINGTON: Funeral services for Rev. Michael Ray McCain, 61, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Round Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Round Hill Baptist Church, 230 Persimmon Lane, Lexington, SC 29072, or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517. Rev. McCain went to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2011. Born in Atlanta, GA., he was a son of the late Ray and Mary McCain. He was a loved member of Round Hill Baptist Church. Michael was a true warrior. He received a purple heart for his service in Vietnam, for which we rightfully honor him. More importantly, however, Michael faithfully served in the Lord's army, valiantly fighting many battles with a joy and peace that only his Commander-in-Chief, the Lord Jesus Christ, could give. It was his desire that all come to know that same joy and peace by surrendering their lives to Jesus as Savior and Lord. Surrender is victory - Victory in Jesus! May we all join Michael in the victory celebration. Survivors are his wife, Andrea Jenisch McCain of Lexington; daughters, Christa Friddle and husband Ethan of Greenville and Candace Wallace and husband Mike of Lexington; brother, Tony McCain and his wife Doris of Tyrone, GA; one grandchild, Connor Wallace; and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank everyone from Round Hill Baptist Church, Helping Hands Day Care, Dorn VA Medical Center, home health caregivers, and all others who lovingly cared for Michael for many years. You will always have a special place in our hearts. Family and friends may sign online guest book at www.thompsonsfuneral.com

We Entrusted Ray McCain's Care To
Greenlawn Memorial Park
Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
