October 20th, 1919 - September 19th, 2010
Ethel ?Mom? Belger On Sunday morning, September 19, 2010, Ethel Belger went to her eternal home. She retired from the Spring Mills after working there forty-seven years. After retirement she went to work as chief cook for her son at Martin?s Restaurant, known by many as the ?Coffee House?. She is survived by her six children: Martin Belger, Billy Belger, Jack Belger, Dr. Odell Belger, Lois Howze, and Douglas Belger. They all reside in Columbia except Jack Belger who resides in Newberry, South Carolina. Also a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The memorial services will be held at ?Mom? Belger?s home church, Lykesland Baptist Church, located at 2712 Trotter Road, Hopkins, S.C., on September 22, 2010, at twelve o?clock. Family greeting time will be held September 21, 2010 from 6 to 8 o?clock, at Greenlawn Funeral Home. The memorial service will be officiated by Dr. Odell Belger and Dr. Ron LaFlam. For further information contact Greenlawn Funeral Home. The family would like to thank the Lutheran Hospice for their loving care to ?Mom? Belger during her sickness. Also Dr. John Gould for his loving care.
