SWANSEA - Funeral services for Helen Bozard Ridgeway, 70, of Swansea, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at Sandy Run Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Hawkins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to Sandy Run Lutheran Church, 1927 Old State Road, Swansea, SC 29160.Mrs. Ridgeway, widow of Joseph Edward Ridgeway, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2010. Born in Calhoun County, she was the daughter of Emmie Wolfe Bozard and the late Lawton Leroy Bozard. She was a lifetime area resident and a member of Sandy Run Lutheran Church. She retired from Security Finance.Surviving are her mother Emmie Wolfe Bozard of Sandy Run; daughter, Vicki Stevenson (Troy) of Swansea; son, Edward Ralph Ott (Angela) of Swansea; step-daughter, Tara Ridgeway of Camden and step-sons Brick Ridgeway of Columbia and Shane Ridgeway (Holly) of Effingham; grandchildren, Brianna, Daniel and Julia Stevenson, Ryan (Heather) Hartley, Ed and Julia Ott, Kayla Smith, Evan and Truit Ridgeway; great-grandchildren, Anna Lynn Bledsoe and Cooper Hartley; sisters, Joan Phipps (Jim), Linda Dugger (Gary), Elaine Ott (Charles) all of Sandy Run and Karen Dowd of Gaston; brothers, Harry Bozard (Linda) of Swansea and Donald Bozard of Sandy Run; former husband, Ralph Ott and her special friend, Toby Castine.
