SHARON GAY ROGERS CODY, LEESVILLE, SC Sharon Gay Rogers Cody, 79, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017, at her home. Sharon was born August 13, 1937 in Forks, Washington to Lincoln and Cora Rogers. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Vernon Bill Cody, and a sister, Shirley Roush. She is survived by daughters, Arlene Kyzer (Shawn) and Hilary Shockey, both of Leesville, and daughter Kimberly Lammon of Cedar Rapids, IA; grandchildren Chris, Michael, Cynthia and Brandon; great-grandchildren Michaela, Ali, Roy and Jameson; and great-great-grandson Oakland. Also surviving are sisters Marion Turner of El Paso, TX and Jennie Meek (Jerry) of Poulsbo, WA, and brother, Wayne Rogers (Pinky) of Valley Center, CA, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Those who knew Sharon will remember her for her sweet disposition, her quick wit, and her infectious laugh. She will be missed tremendously. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
